Mrs. Mindy English - Resource Room
Mindy has been teaching been for 20 years. She has taught everything from Preschool, down in Indianapolis, to a k-5 Severe and Profound classroom at Haverhill Elementary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Special Education has always been her true love and she found her niche in teaching in a k-8 Resource Room. She has been teaching children who struggle with reading and math for the past 13 years. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham, a reading program that is designed for children with Dyslexia, that she uses to help children learn to read in her classroom. Mindy believes strongly in Early Intervention and that the earlier a child receives the intervention they need, the less likely they will need help further along in their education. She loves the fact she often gets to work with her students in many different capacities, which allows her to get to know her students on many different levels.
Mindy is married to Tim and they have three children. Chelsea lives in Washington DC and works for an Educational/Medical Consulting Firm. Timmy is currently working to become an Electrician with Fairfield Electric. Braydon is a Freshman at Concordia Lutheran High School, and is playing soccer non-stop. This is the first year, the English's have not had a child at Concordia Grade School in 17 years. They are very thankful for the years they have had at CLS.
Mindy enjoys the outdoors, swimming, boating, hiking, reading, and music. She loves all sports, especially all of the sports her children have been involved in throughout their lives.
